Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix's talent for athletics was evident right from the day she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas a contract as professional athlete. The following year she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200 meters in the world championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal the following year, by beating the long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She consistently placed within the top three places of the events.
